ValuTec Update

This article will discuss the process of updating the ValuTec Gift Card software

Estimated time for completion: 10-15 minutes per POS machine

Prerequisites: ValuTec Credentials from ValuTec and ver 3.1.2.1 (attached)

1. Uninstall Old Gift Card Software

1. Open Programs and Features
2. Click Gift Cards
3. Click Uninstall

2. Install New Gift Card Software

1. Right Click and Run as Administrator
2. Follow the prompts to install

• NOTE: At the end of the installer, when you see the prompt to Launch the Configuration Utility (Leave Checked) **Do not leave this checked, it will lock up the installer**

3. Run the Gift Card Configuration Console

1. Enter Location Name
2. Enter Location ID
3. Enter Merchant ID
4. Enter Terminal ID
5. Enter Client Key

4. Perform a test Gift Card sale and Gift Card Tender
