OMS Save & Recall

An optional feature of the eWinery Order Management System (OMS) is the ability to Save and Recall orders. This is ideal in situations where a customer service representative needs to ?pause? an order and come back to it at a later time.

What is OMS Save & Recall?

When enabled, at the top right hand corner of the OMS, there are two buttons that allow the Saving and Recalling of orders.

Save this Order
This button saves an order that is in progress. Once an order is saved, any changes in products and addresses on that order are automatically saved as well. This button is only available for orders that have not been previously saved. Even if an order is recalled, since it has been saved before, any changes to that order will still be automatically saved.

Recall Saved Order
This button will open a window which contains all orders with an Order Status of ?Saved?. Once a saved order that has been recalled and is finalized it will automatically be removed from this list because the order status is now completed.


Saving an Order in the OMS

  1. Begin creating an order in OMS.

  2. Click "Save this Order" in the top right of the screen.


    You can save an order at any point during the order creation process in the OMS. Any order in progress in the OMS can be saved at any time before it is finalized.

    When to use "Save Order"
  • If a customer has been selected but they want to call you back because they are not sure of what they want to purchase, you can save the order.

  • If you have added items to an order but the customer needs to approve the charge with a spouse, you can save the order.

  • If a Credit Card provided over the phone is not valid, and you want to save the order until you can get a hold of the customer, you can save the order.

Recalling an Order

You can Recall a previously saved order at any point while inside the OMS by clicking the ?Recall Saved Order? button.

  1. From the eWinery Admin Panel, open the OMS.

  2. In the top right of the OMS screen, click "Recall saved order".


  3. Select the order you wish to recall from the drop down list.

  4. Edit and finaize the order using the OMS just like you would when creating an order.

Things to remember . . .
  • Saved orders are specific to the winery that you are working in. You will never see any other wineries saved orders.

  • If you are working on one order and you want to Recall a saved order, you should first save the order you are working on. This will ensure that you can come back to the order after you are finished with the order you want to Recall.

Deleting a Saved Order

In some instances an order that was previously saved will not be completed. Either the Customer cannot be reached again after many attempts, or the can be reached and decide to not go forward with the purchase.

In these instances it is wise to ?clean up? your list of Saved orders so that the list does not become un-manageable.

To delete a Saved order;

  1. Click the ?Recall Saved Order? button to display the list of Saved orders.
  2. Locate the order you wish to delete and click the delete button (the red X) to the right of that order.
  3. You will be prompted to confirm your selection.

    If you wish to continue and delete the order, click OK to continue, or Cancel to go back to the previous screen.
