Exclude Products from Promotions

This tab of the PromoBuilder, Excludes, allows you to exclude specific products from this promotion. Use this promotion to control products that are NEVER discounted or sets of products that are discounted at different levels. Exclusions are only available by product. You cannot make exclusions by order type or sales channel.

EXAMPLE: Your wine club discount is 20%. A club member creates a 6 bottle order that include 2 bottles of your Reserve Cabernet. Reserve Cabernet is NEVER discounted and is excluded from the Wine Club discount. This order will show that the 2 bottles of Reserve at full price while the other 4 bottles on the order receive the normal 20% discount.

Add/Manage Promotion Exclusions

1. To exclude a product from the promotion, click the Excludes tab.
   
   

2. If there are no products listed on the Excludes tab, you will see only the following command: Click to Add a Product to This Exclude List. If there are already exclusions on this promotion they will lay into a table like the screen shot below.
   
   Add your exclusion(s) to this list by clicking "add" the command. The Add a Product popup window appears.
   

3. From the Product drop-down list, choose the products you wish to exclude from the promotion.
   
   All of the products in your store will appear in the drop-down list (both ACTIVE and INACTIVE products).
   
   
   

4. Click SAVE.
   Repeat this process for each product you want to exclude. Each product you choose for exclusion will be listed on this tab.
