New Member Confirmation
In our ongoing mission to ensure email deliverability is kept in check, we are proud to announce a few updates that went out today. We performed an analysis and test for email deliverability late last year and determined that there were many new member sign-ups that had either entered in the wrong email or misplaced a character. These invalid email addresses led to a large deferment rate, which slowed down the delivery timing for our automated emails. To address the situation, we have implemented new member confirmations for all sites.
Now, a confirmation link is sent to the new member whenever their account is created. Once the link is clicked, they will be considered confirmed and able to log into their new account.
To help manage this new change, we have added a new search criteria when searching for members that will allow you to isolate members that are not confirmed:
Once you find the user, you can select the ? to manually confirm them, as needed:
