Instructions to manage and navigate the Website Display tab in vinSUITE System Settings

What is Website Display?

In the System Settings, the Website Display tab allows users to configure general aesthetic and club settings that will be displayed to customers on a winery's website. From this page, an admin user can arrange pods on their website, and update the format for mailing list signups.

Managing Website Display Settings

1) In the vinSUITE admin panel, click the orange 'Settings' button in the top right of your screen. From the drop-down menu, choose 'System Settings'.

2) The System Settings will open in the work space. Click the 'Website Display' tab from the Settings sub-menu.

3) Edit any appropriate fields on the Website Display page. There are multiple smaller sections within the page that will be explained in greater detail.

Enable Club Member Shipping Types | When the 'Enable Club Member Shipping Types' toggle switch is "ON," the 'Display on Club Signup' toggle will display on the Shipping > Wine Shipping > Shipping Type page. The 'Display on Club Signup' toggle allows customers to select an individual shipping type on club signup page, rather than being enrolled with the default shipping type. Note: If the 'Display on Club Signup' toggle is selected, all available clubs have access to select an individual shipping type. Tip : It is useful to have more than one shipping type available for customers, so they have multiple shipping type options.

  • Enable Multiple Wine Images

  • Note: This toggle is only applicable for non-responsive websites. If you have a responsive website, you can add an image for a product on the 'Wine' tab when you edit a product.

    When the 'Enable Multiple Wine Images' toggle switch is "ON," a new 'Image' tab will display when editing a product.

    On the 'Image' tab, you can upload two images for the same product. The first image displays on the Category page, while the second image will display on the Product Details page on your website.

  • All Club Deactivation On Website

  • When the 'All Club Deactivation On Website' toggle switch is "ON," customers cannot deactivate club memberships themselves on your winery's website. Only an admin user is allowed to cancel memberships from the vinSUITE admin panel.

    Tip: This setting can keep customers from joining a club to get a discount on one order, and then canceling the membership themselves before the first club shipment.

Pods

Warning | This warning provides a reminder that your website must be enabled to accommodate Pods. Pods are small widgets that display on your web page. There are different Pod styles with unique layouts and features. Note: Pods can be configured on the Site Editor.

  • Switch the 'Newsletter Signup' toggle to "ON" to enable accessibility to the 'Newsletter Signup' Pod in the Pod Type menu.

Mailing List Signup

The Mailing List Signup alters general email signup on your website, like the Newsletter signup. It does not affect Wine Club signup, or fields for Billing and Shipping Information.

Salutation | Switch the Display toggle to "ON" if you want the Salutations field to be displayed, but optional, during mailing list signup. Switch the Required toggle to "ON" if you want the Salutations field to be required during mailing list signup.

  • Switch the Display toggle to "ON" if you want a Captcha to be displayed during mailing list signup.

    Note: The Captcha is always required if it is displayed, so users can not edit the Required toggle for this field.

    Captcha is an acronym for "Completely Automated Public Turing test to tell Computers and Humans Apart." This program is intended to distinguish human interaction from machine input, typically as a way of stopping spam and automated extraction of data from websites.

  • Birth Date

  • Switch the Display toggle to "ON" if you want the Birth Date field to be displayed, but optional, during mailing list signup.

    Switch the Required toggle to "ON" if you want the Birth Date field to be required during mailing list signup.

All email mailing list signups require an email address.

Note: You must select the Display toggle before you select the Required Toggle for a field to appear on your website. A field will not appear on your website if you only set the Required toggle to "ON."

4) Click the 'Save' button at the bottom of the page to save any adjustments to the Website Display.
