Deactivate a Product
Deactivating vs. Deleting Products You might have noticed that there is no option to Delete a product. While it may seem odd that the software lacks that function, there is a very good reason why we do not allow products to be deleted. The reporting tool relies on the information contained within the product profile to produce many different reports. By deleting a product completely, significant reporting problems are almost certain to result. In an effort to protect the reliability and consistency of our client's data, we decided to remove the delete function from the system. If you believe that you have a need to delete products from your database, please contact the Client Services Team at support@vinsuite.com for more information.
There are two ways to deactivate a product. Both methods result in the same outcome.
Option 1:
After performing a search for the appropriate product, a list of products will appear in the right pane of screen.
-
Click the Delete icon of the product you want to deactivate.

-
You will be prompted to confirm the deactivation. Click OK.

Option 2:
After performing a search for the appropriate product, a list of products will appear in the right pane of screen.
-
Click on the Edit icon (green pencil) to open the product details.

-
Under the Wine Tab (General Tab for non-wine Products, Kits or Collateral) , deselect the "Is Active" box. Click SAVE.
