First, we must prepare for this update:

Attached to this article, please find the PayGateway.dll file you will need. Please copy this to the SmartClub machine. This can be saved in the C:\WineWare folder.

Follow these steps to update SmartClub for TLS 1.2:

1. Open File Explorer and navigate to the C:\ Directory

2. Perform a search for the PayGateway.dll file

Note: This search can take a few minutes. Let the search complete to ensure you know the location of every instance of PayGateway.dll

3. Review your search results for each instance of PayGateway.dll

Note: We are only interested in the PayGateway.dll file for v8. PaygatewayNET.dll can be ignored

4. Open CMD (run as Administrator)

5. At the command prompt, navigate to the location of our PayGateway.dll file

6. Type: regsvr32 paygateway.dll /u and press ENTER

7. Repeat this step for all instances of the PayGateway.dll file location

8. In File Explorer, copy the new PayGateway.dll file we transferred earlier, and replace the older PayGateway.dll files.

9. At the command prompt, navigate to the location of our PayGateway.dll file

10. Type: regsvr32 paygateway.dll and press ENTER

You have successfully updated the PayGateway.dll file and are now processing on TLS 1.2. You may now proceed with the Club Credit Card Processing.
